Version 4.05

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in the Tabular Export file. Before, the HELP model would not use the file, now it will.
  2. Fix a bug in the Summary of the Day Delimited output. Before, the records ran together, now they are on separate lines.
  3. Fix a bug in the Help-About display in Windows 2000. Before, a Zero Divide error was displayed and the application t;erminated. Now no error is shown and the application continues.

Version 4.03

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in selecting stations with the Longitude/Latitude box. Before, if one of the fields had a blank value (not a Null value), it would generate a SQL error and close. Now it treats blank values as a Null value.
  2. Fix a bug in the conversion of CFS to ACF for the Tabular export format for USGS Daily Values. Before, it used an improper conversion value. Now, it uses 1.9835.

Version 4.02

New Features

  1. Add color flagging in Monthly Data view. If a month has less than a full count of data for that month, then the cell is flagged with a Green color.

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in the exporting of Daily Values data in Card format. Before, it would truncate data values when the value was very large. Now it scales the number of decimal points maintained in the formated value so that values greater than 9999.99 can be properly formatted into the 8-char field.
  2. Fix a bug in the Selection Menu for Elevation and Drain Area. Before, entering an improper value would result in a Type Mismatch error and the application would close. Now it just reports a message saying the value does not look like a number.

Version 4.01

New Features

  1. Add back in the NCDC export format for NCDC Summary of the Day, Hourly Precipitation and 15-Minute Precipitation.
  2. Add the ability to do multiple selection in the year pick list for Exporting data.

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in the handling of flags for Summary of the Day. Before, it indicated numerous flags when there were only a few. Now it properly handles the flags.

Version 4.00

New Features

  1. Add the ability to recognize two new USGS Daily Values regions: North East and South East.
  2. Add the ability to recognize two new NCDC Hourly Precipitation regions: East and West.

Version 3.14

New Features

  1. Add the ability to recognize two new USGS Daily Values regions: North East and South East.
  2. Add the ability to recognize two new NCDC Hourly Precipitation regions: East and West.

Version 3.13

New Features

  1. Add the ability to export Station and Parameter attribute data from the GIS Compendium discs.
  2. Add the translating of the Parameter Code into its name when exporting EPA STORET data..

Version 3.12

New Features

  1. Add the ability to handle the GIS Compendium discs.
  2. Add the decoding of the Agency field in the Station Window by right-clicking in the Agency field for any station. This only works on discs that contain the eagency.dbf file in the \dbase directory of the CD.
  3. Add the decoding of the Agency field in the Agency Selection pick list by right-clicking on the agency of interest. This only works on discs that contain the eagency.dbf file in the \dbase directory of the CD.

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in the handling of a STORET station that has more than 32,000 samples. Before, such a station reported #NODATA or #TOOMUCHDATA in the Sample and Observation windows. Now it loads the data and reports the number of samples displayed.
  2. Add the ability to Cancel the loading of STORET Sample and Observation data by hitting the ESCAPE key during the load.

Version 3.11

Misc

  1. Fix a bug in the handling of a Longitude/Latitude selection when saved via the Save Station Selection command. Before, when the saved selection was loaded in a new instance of the application, the SQL string for the Longitude/Latitude selection was truncated to 255 characers, causing an SQL error. Now, the string is properly loaded and the query executed.
  2. Fix a bug in Print Graph. Before, if there were too many printer drivers registered, the print command caused a General Protection Fault. Now, the graph is printed. NOTE: This error will reoccur if the sum of all characters in all the names for the registered drivers is greater than 750.
  3. Fix a bug in the Copy-Special for Daily Data when the number of years is greater than about 50. Before, this would cause the data to be truncated. Now, all data is copied. This bug was introduced in version 3.01 when the Copy-Special for the Graph was fixed.
  4. Fix a bug in EPA Export where a large export (more than 32,000 records) would cause an Overflow error. Now, no error is produced and the export runs.5) Fix a bug in EPA Export where there are multiple states on a disk. Before, if stations from several states were specified, and they had the same index, then not all station data was exported. Now, all stations are exported

Version 3.10

New Features

  1. Implement Degree Days data layer.
  2. Add Average Temperature and Temperature Range as new parameters in Climatedata Summary of the Day.
  3. Implement Import Text File functionality. This allows the marking of stations using a text file as input instead of a DBF file.
  4. Implement a Time Series export format for all data types.
  5. Implement a NWS Condensed B export format for Climatedata Summary of the Day, Hourly Precipitation and 15-Minute Precipitation.
  6. Implement Print All for all of the stations currently selected and displayed in the Stations Window.
  7. Implement Copy-Special All for all of the stations currently selected and displayed in the Stations Window.
  8. Implement parameter decoding in the Select Parameter pick list. A right click from the mouse displays the parameter code and long parameter name for the parameter clicked on.
  9. Implement mouse-over parameter and statistic decoding in the text boxes for the Parameter window and all data windows. When the mouse is moved over the Parameter text box or the Statistic text box, the underlying parameter code and long parameter name is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the main application window.
  10. Add a small toggle button to the Parameter Window. Pressing this button toggles the state of Show Station Info for the Parameter Window.
  11. Add a Right Click to the Plot Window. This brings up the Plot Menu. You can add traces and reconfigure the graph directly from there.
  12. Add a Right Click to all Data Windows. This brings up the Data Menu. You can open or activate any data window directly from there.
  13. Implement a new statistic of Count for the Monthly Data window. This displays the count of days with data for the given month and year.
  14. Implement a new statistic of Count for the Daily Statistic window. This displays the count of days with data for the given day-month for the entire period of record.

Misc

  1. Implement Row Mode in the EPA Samples Window for the Sample Grid. You can now use the up and down arrows to scroll through the samples, updating the Parameter grid with each change.
  2. Add a Short Cuts entry to the Help Menu. This brings up the Hot Keys topic in the help file.
  3. Add the Hydrologic Unit Code for NCDC Summary of the Day, Hourly and 15 Minute Stations.
  4. Fix a bug in the More button on the Parameter Window. Before, if the More Window was hidden, it was not brought to the foreground when the More button was pushed. Now, the More Window is activated and restored whenever the More button is pushed.
  5. Remove the dialog box at the end of the Export when the export is successful. The export results is now shown in the status bar. If an error occurs during export, it is still reported in a dialog box.
  6. Fix a bug in exporting Summary of the Day Daily Data in NCDC format. Before, the export file did not contain any indication of data marked with an A (accumulation) flag. Now, the A flag is included in both the NCDC and the Tabular export.
  7. Fix a bug in exporting Tabular formats of Daily Values data when the data comes from one of the USBR agencies. Before, the parameter code was improperly reported as a large negative value. Now, the proper value is reported.
  8. Fix a bug in exporting EPA data. Before, the Time1 field actually contained the Time2 value. Now, the proper value is reported.
  9. Fix a bug in exporting EPA data. Before, when the Export window was closed, entries for previously specified parameter codes were retained, so that extra data might be exported the next time an EPA export was done. Now, the list is cleared when the window is closed.
  10. Fix a bug in Mark-Clear All. Before, if the Clear All was issued after going to the bottom of the Station Window grid, an Overflow Error was issued and the application died. Now, the marked stations are properly cleared.
